Dr. Louisa Draper

DrEd Medical Director

Louisa studied medicine at the University of Oxford and completed her training at University College London. She has spent the last eight years working in some of the top hospitals in London, and has a particular interest in finding new ways to change medical care so that patients can access healthcare quickly, safely and conveniently. She has set up medical projects and healthcare initiatives all over the World, allowing her to understand the health needs of different communities, and giving her the opportunity to travel and get first hand, detailed knowledge of travel medicine. She has a special interest in women's and children's health.

Dr. Zenon Andreou

DrEd Deputy Medical Director

Zenon studied medicine at University College London graduating in 2006. His postgraduate training was in hospitals in and around London and he trained for four years in Otolaryngology before completing his training in General practice. He has an interest in Allergy having obtained a Masters Degree from Imperial College London. Currently he divides his time between General Practice and online medicine.

Dr. Sophie Albe-Ly

Doctor

Sophie trained to become a GP has worked in France and the UK. Sophie moved to online medicine in 2016 and enjoys this new way of practising very much. She appreciates how practical it is for the patients and thinks it's a great way to address issues that can be embarrassing for the patients to address face to face.


Dr. Kathryn Basford

Doctor

Dr Kathryn Basford is a qualified GP who also works as a GP in London. She graduated from the University of Manchester and completed her GP training through Whipps Cross Hospital in London. Outside of work she enjoys baking and keeping active, running marathons and also enjoying swimming and triathlons.


Dr. Michel Wenger

Doctor

Dr. Michel Wenger is a senior physician at DrEd. In addition to his degree in medicine, he holds an MBA in Strategy and Marketing Consulting from the Cambridge Judge Business School. Dr. Wenger worked for many years in Switzerland and England as a physician in internal medicine. Before joining DrEd, he was a company consultant and has supported pharmaceutical companies and hospitals on various operational and strategic issues.

Dr. Lisa Carter

Doctor

Dr Lisa Carter works part time for DrEd and part time as a GP in East London. Her undergraduate training was undertaken in Cardiff and postgraduate training throughout London. Her area of interest is sexual and reproductive health and she also works as the marketing lead for the medical team.

Dr. Nina Amedzro

Doctor

Dr Nina Amedzro studied medicine at the University of Leeds and qualified as a Doctor in 2003. She is currently working as a GP in Yorkshire, and has special interests in Women’s Health and Sexual Health. She is a member of the Royal College of General Practitioners, and is currently a Clinical Consultant for the college where she is working on a project to help reduce health inequalities. In her spare time, she enjoys watching her favourite bands and discovering new music (and food!) while attending various festivals around the country.


Dr. Charlotte Hammerton

Doctor

Charlotte studied medicine at the University of Nottingham and since graduating has worked in hospitals in London, Kent and Sussex. She is interested in how healthcare is changing to help patients access healthcare quickly, safely and conveniently. Her particular interests are in medical education, travel medicine and children's health. She undertaken postgraduate training in these areas and is currently undertaking a Masters in Medical Education.

Dr. Emily Wimmer

Doctor

Emily is a German doctor with a German and English license to practice. After she graduated medical school in 2009 she started her training in internal medicine in Vienna, Austria and Hamburg, Germany. She started working for DrEd in 2015 and she regularly joins the team in London. In addition to her work for DrEd, she works at the University of Hamburg as clinical investigator.


David Meinertz

Chief Executive Officer

David co-founded DrEd with Amit. Prior to launching DrEd David worked at a leading online healthcare company in London where he focused on international expansion. Before that, David invested in and helped build and re-build small and medium-sized companies in healthcare, electronics and distribution sectors in Europe for about 10 years.

James Davies

Head of Operations

James studied pharmacy at the University of Bath and completed his training as a pharmacist at Guys and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust. He has worked in hospital and community practice and completed a PhD at University College London, exploring business and professional models of community pharmacy practice. James helped found the original DrEd pharmacy in 2012, before taking up a position with the Company Chemists Association, representing pharmacy owners in the NHS, with regulators and in government. James returned as Head of Operations in 2014.

Joe Rinaldi Johnson

Chief Product Officer

Joe joined DrEd in February 2015. Prior to this he worked as Strategy & Product Manager at a leading online healthcare company. Before that, Joe was advising commissioners and major acute hospital providers on strategy & performance improvement as a management consultant. He holds a MA from Cambridge University in Social & Political Sciences with a Tripos in Management Studies from the Judge Business School.


James Porter

Chief Marketing Officer

James works for DrEd as UK marketing manager. Since starting out in digital he has specialised in working with high growth B2C start ups. His most recent role prior to DrEd was agency side, in a content marketing and SEO agency called Distilled.

Syed Abbas

Web Application Developer

Syed holds an MSc in Business Information Technology from Middlesex University in London and a BSc in Computer Science from National University of Computer & Emerging Sciences in Pakistan. Previously he worked for Systems Limited, a software house in Pakistan, before relocating to the UK. He also did a long stint at Swiftnet Ltd, a wholesale telecoms provider, as a software engineer. He joined the DrEd development team in the summer of 2014.
